This painting was created as a donation to Mexic-Arte museum in Austin, Texas, for their annual Mix and Mash fundraiser. I built a toy truck of loteria cards depicting images referring to food or cooking, then painted the truck. Austin is known for its abundance of taco trucks. La lonchera is a lunch truck. I should have made the number of the truck 12 then, but I guess 25 could refer to two tacos for $5.
