Metallic surface Chromira print with banana paper. Jeju Islanders have cultivated several bonsai gardens, each one unique and carefully tended to. These quince bonsai are between 150 and 300 years old and are 3ft tall maximum. Unlike in Europe where magpies are considered bad luck, in Korea they are considered a symbol of hospitality.  They are monogamous and usually seen with their mate. In a cold landscape a Eurasian Magpie has found the last quince of the season and waits for its partner to join in the feast.
