Waiting for the Decisive Moment (mockup)
Giclée with brocade and shantung fabrics. 26” x 52”.
The famous photographer, Henry Cartier Bresson, coined the phrase “the decisive moment”, which refers to the perfect instant to take a photo. I waited patiently for this egret to strike when a fish swam by or to spread its great wings and take to the sky. Neither of those happened, but the bird’s feathers blowing in the breeze and colorful leaves floating into the frame seemed perfect to me.
