Lost and Found (mockup)

Lost and Found.
Giclée with chiyogami paper. 30” x 54”.
When I miss a good shot or lose a photo, I tend to obsess over it. I imagined this scene over and over after accidentally deleting all of my digital images from a Zen garden in Fukuoka, Japan. I was determined to recreate the space in an image and searched for weeks to find the right elements. Later I found the brochure from the garden with a photo of the spot I recreated. While lovely, it was quite different and to me, far less compelling than my version.
